This ROSNF blog is intended to help promote Rotary International Service by providing examples of how social networks can be used to help connect Rotarians and Rotaractors around the world interested in helping to support international service projects.
As an example Annamaria Tari, a member of ROSNF from Hungary, posted a message on the ROSNF Facebook Group several months ago asking if anyone in the Tampa Bay Florida area could help a team from Hungary coming to the University of South Florida in Tampa to compete in a world competition. I attended USF and volunteered to help if I could. I received a request from a Rotarian in district 1911 in Hungary asking for help with transportation and housing for 15 girls and their coach. I asked the board of my Rotary Club of Pinellas Park and they agreed to do it. For more details and pictures about this international project, visit the ROSNF Facebook Page here: https://www.facebook.com/rosnf And be sure to like the page as we are now approaching 6,000 fans.
If you have other examples of how ROSNF has helps bring club members together to help support international projects, please post them as comments. Let’s continue to support building bridges across continents and growing communities.
